Adolfo Pedernera was an Argentinian player who played for River Plate in 40s making part of LA Maquina (the machine) who was called the River Plate from 40s playing along to Ángel Labruna, José Manuel Moreno, Félix Loustau, and Juan Carlos Muñoz and then he played in Millonarios from Colombia along to players as Alfredo Di stefano, Nestor Rossi, Julio Cozzi and Hugo Reyes.
He was a player who used to by a play maker, a great assister, excellent technique and a goal scorer too.
He was elected the 12th best South american footballer of the 20th century in a poll by the IFFHS in 2000.
